Know is an irregular active-transitive verb, from know, knew, knowing, known; found in the infinitive mood, present tense--no person, or : and is governed by to; according to Rule 18th, which says, "The infinitive mood is governed in general by the preposition TO, which commonly connects it to a finite verb.

About this book
Is some would call the grammatical predicate, and "Such is," or is such, the logical; but the latter consists, as the majority teach, of "the copula" is, and "the attribute," or "predicate," such. Murray's Gram. Words in apposition agree in case, according to Rule 3d; of fridnds principle, Rule 6th may be considered a modification. To this end, the system in question does not appear to be well adapted. To characterize this performance in a few words, we think that it is an highly interesting poem, although marked with some defects.
